What Is The Hyundai i30N “Winter Pack?”
Thinking of buying a used Hyundai i30N?
Depending on the market in which you are buying, and also whether you are buying a pre/post-facelift, there might be the option to purchase a car equipped with the ‘winter pack’.
But what is the i30N winter pack?
Long story short, it is an optional add-on package available in some markets (e.g. UK) that added winter convenience features.
Most notably, the winter pack includes a heated steering wheel and heated seats.
My understanding is that in some markets such as the UK where a “base model” phase one i30N was offered, you had to opt for the i30N performance pack to also be able to specify the winter pack.
In other markets, presence of heated seats/steering wheel is a function of pre/post-facelift and body shape.
The winter pack – where available – doesn’t add anything performance-wise, it’s just about winter convenience and comfort features.
The main thing is to look out on the buttons near the gear selector (whether manual or DCT/auto) for the heated seat and heated wheel symbols.
